Instead, they’re thinking about how they look, what they sound or smell like, what their partner is thinking, etc.—and that’s what often leads to sexual problems. In this recording, we’ll look at how therapists unwittingly collude with clients’ self-defeating sexual narratives, why “sex addiction” is not a helpful model for long-term change, and how our common approaches to sexual problems may lead to better communication but little else.
